LEGIC Utility App FAQs

The LEGIC Utility App is compatible with Android and iOS devices and is available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We developed and tested our mobile app according to state-of-the-art technology and methods to ensure the app is compatible with the most common smartphones. Nevertheless, due to the wide variety of smartphone brands and models, some types of smartphones might not be compatible with certain apps.

The LEGIC Utility App uses LEGIC’s neon technology standard and must be used in combination with LEGIC Connect services. As a registered LEGIC Partner you have access to the LEGIC Connect service.
If you want to become a LEGIC partner and benefit from our offerings which include access to LEGIC Connect, please contact us directly. We would be happy to have you onboard.

Please make sure that you have provided a correct e-mail address during the registration process or check the spam folder in your e-mail account. If you still experience problems, please contact our support team.

Configuration packages must be created upfront in LEGIC Connect. As soon as they are created, the packages can be deployed to the registered LEGIC Utility App of a user. Please make sure that the packages are available to the dedicated user so they can be received by the app. To achieve this, the Public ID of the user’s app should be configured during the package deployment. The Public ID is shown in the registered app in the menu under “further information”.

We have endeavored to make sure the app is compatible with the most common smartphones. Nevertheless, due to the huge variety of smartphone brands and models, some types of smartphones might not be compatible with certain apps.

In some cases, a system failure of the connected backend might occur, and it is not an app-related problem. Please contact our support team for further assistance.

For details on the required hardware specifications and how the devices need to be configured, please read the corresponding user manual for the LEGIC Utility App available on the LEGIC Extranet

The LEGIC Utility App is a universal configuration tool which is used for secure and convenient device commissioning and maintenance of LEGIC enabled devices. Mobile Credentialing with LEGIC neon files, however, is not supported and the app is not meant for end users to receive and use mobile credentials on their smartphone.
