LEGIC Identsystems announces nine new license partners in China, Indonesia and Hong Kong. They all come from a variety of fields in the value chain of ID solutions and are a valuable asset to the LEGIC network in Asia.

Within the framework of OMNICARD 2013 in Berlin, Klaus Klosa, Managing Director of LEGIC Identsystems AG, explained the possibilities and challenges of NFC in contactless people identification: How can existing contactless card systems be transferred to NFC smartphones and what are the stumbling blocks?

Today, LEGIC Identsystems announced that it had made a partnership agreement with Chinese reader manufacturer Shenzhen IB Technologies Development Co., Ltd. (IBT). The renowned system integrator has a series of challenging large-scale projects to show. As a licenced LEGIC partner, IBT is now capable of offering its products and services based on state-of-the-art people identification standards.

Oberthur Technologies and LEGIC Identsystems Ltd combine two powerful technology platforms to enhance contactless and dual-interface payment product offerings. The combination of existing payment solutions and LEGIC’s identification solutions creates new business opportunities for industries such as public transport authorities, banks, airlines or leisure facilities.

LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, the Swiss expert of core elements for contactless people identification, received the distinguished Common Criteria EAL 4+ security certificate at the end of October 2012 for its card-in-card applet – a virtualised transponder chip for NFC smartphones and credit cards.

Today, LEGIC Identsystems announced it had welcomed another Chinese system house as a member of its license partner network: Established in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone in 2001, Shenzhen Borit Intelligent System Co.,LTD (BRT) is an electronics company focussing on security and identification systems.

LEGIC Identsystems was at Security Essen from September 25th to 28th. On show was the new SM-4500 reader module with Mifare interoperability, the CTC4096-MP410 multi-RF transponder chip and a demo of loading access rights from an internet portal onto NFC smartphones as part of a Trusted Service Management (TSM) . Visitors reacted very positively.

LEGIC Identsystems AG is extending its partner network to include a highly experienced Chinese system integrator. Hangzhou Doaron Technology Co. Ltd is planning to implement contactless payment systems for different places such as restaurants and public transport in urban areas.

At Security Essen, along with Kaba, LEGIC Identsystems AG, the Swiss expert in core elements for contactless people identification, will demonstrate how access applications and rights can be loaded over a mobile network on to NFC telephones using a TSM.

Today, LEGIC Identsystems announced it had made a partnership agreement with Silone CardTech, a company located in the south of the People's Republic of China. Silone CardTech, based in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, is focussed on producing smart cards, complemented by chip encoding and personalization equipment. This company is now an official license partner of LEGIC.

At the end of August 2012, LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, the leading provider of contactless people identification technology, presents the new LEGIC advant SM-4500 reader module and the new OS-4000 V2.0 firmware. As a consequence, the reader modules of the LEGIC advant 4000 series support all common LEGIC transponders, but also third party transponders like the MIFARE family. In addition, the SM-4500 stands out with a complete function set to create and manage contactless smart card applications.

LEGIC Identsystems AG has made YouCard Kartensysteme GmbH an official partner. As a LEGIC license partner, YouCard is in a position to support customers with individual solutions based on LEGIC people identification technology. In addition to coding modules for its card printer and blank cards, the company also offers printing, coding and personalisation services for all LEGIC transponder cards.

Today, LEGIC announced it had expanded its partner network in the Netherlands. Working with LEGIC, Vecos Europe BV engages in developing new locker lock systemsusing SM-4200 reader chips. Measuring a mere 8 x 8 mm, these chips feature an especially low power consumption, making them the ideal choice for contactless furniture locks.

Today, LEGIC Identsystems announced it had licenced Shenzhen Xin'er Technology Co., Ltd., China, as a new provider of LEGIC multifunctional RFID transponders for the Chinese market. LEGIC, a company with a global reach based in Switzerland, made this move in response to the strong Chinese demand for identification solutions.

Today, LEGIC Identsystems announced that it had made an agreement with Shenzhen Peak Electronics Co., Ltd., a security solution supplier with activities across China and other countries, to produce security modules. This is particularly significant for the key business area of access control systems.

LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, globally recognized expert for core components for people identification, continues to strengthen its network of distribution partners in Asia collaborating with Pengda Hengxin Technology. Schomäcker GmbH, specialised in smartcard technologies, is the new license partner of LEGIC Identsystems Ltd in the field of security modules. Thanks to this, the company can further extend its offer in the field of secure multi-functional applications.

At the start of June, LEGIC Identsystems AG announced the launch of its first cross-standard transponder chip – CTC for short. The CTC4096-MP410 supports the prime RF standard of LEGIC as well as LEGIC advant (ISO 14443A) and brings new possibilities for card manufacturers and end users.

Sebury Technology Co., Ltd and LEGIC Identsystems Ltd have announced a licence partnership. This will result in cutting-edge access control solutions and biometric readers for the Chinese market.

Leading Chinese university chooses multi-application campus card solution and upgrades 3000 POS terminals to the LEGIC advant technology. In addition new access control terminals will be developed for the whole campus.
