From other existing smart card installations, e.g. dual-interface cards (through integration into a single-chip solution with LEGIC card-in-card solutions)

From other identification technologies (support of data formats for Wiegand, Barcode, 125 kHz, magnetic stripe etc.)

Moreover, LEGIC advant readers have a LEGIC prime mode which allows the reading of LEGIC prime transponders and Master-Tokens. This mode can be switched off and allows a smooth migration from LEGIC prime transponders to more secure LEGIC advant transponders.
